How to make a QR code for a Google Form
Google Forms can give you a link, but not a QR code you'd want on a flyer. Here's how to make one that matches your brand and keeps working if the form changes.
1. Copy your form's link
Open your form in Google Forms and click Send. Choose the link icon, tick Shorten URL if you like, and copy the link. It starts with forms.gle/ or docs.google.com/forms/.
Make sure the form is accepting responses and doesn't require people to sign in, unless that's what you want. People who scan the code see exactly what they'd see if they opened the link.
2. Paste it and style the code
Paste the link on Form QR Code. The preview updates as you go:
- Colors: any code and background color, a gradient, or a different color for the three corners.
- Pattern: square, rounded, dots, diamond, connected, leaf, or vertical and horizontal lines.
- Center: your logo or one or two letters.
- Frame: a border with a label like "Scan to sign up", a frame with no label, or no frame. The label can use any Google Font.
3. Get your files and print
Pay $2 USD once and download a PNG (up to 4,096 pixels) and an SVG. Test a printed copy with two different phones before a big print run.
Why not use a free QR code generator?
Most free generators put your form's link straight into the code. That's fine until you make a new version of the form, or the "free" code turns out to be a trial that stops working. Form QR Code points the code at a short link you control, so you can send printed copies to a new form any time, and see how many people scanned it.
Make yours now. Paste your Google Form or any link and style it. Preview free, then $2 USD once. Never expires.
Make a QR codeCommon questions
How do I make a QR code for a Google Form?
Copy your form's link in Google Forms (Send, then the link icon), paste it into Form QR Code, pick your colors, pattern and frame, and pay $2 USD once. You get PNG and SVG files ready to print, and a code that never expires.
Can I change where the QR code points after printing?
Yes. Edit the link in My codes and every printed copy goes to the new place right away. The pattern never changes, because the code holds our short link rather than your link itself.
How big should I print a QR code?
A good rule is one tenth of the scanning distance: a code read from 1 metre away should be at least 10 cm wide, and never smaller than 2 cm (about 0.8 in). The Export section works it out for you.
